Job summary

Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia seeks a Clinical Services Associate/Medical Assistant to support physicians and care teams. You will room patients, document vitals in EMR, review history and labs, and help with patient flow, scheduling, and check-out.

The role requires Basic Life Support, CMA or RMA, MA certification within 90 days, and a high school diploma with 2+ years of medical office experience.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• CMA or RMA certification required
• MA certification required within 90 days of hire
• H.S. Diploma or GED required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and prepares chart for visit with vitals in EMR
• Performs phlebotomy and specimen collection per MD order
• Performs EKGs and other outpatient screening tests
• Assists in minor procedures and with instrument handling
• Maintains infection control and safe patient environment
