Job summary

Mercy Cedar Rapids is seeking a Registered Nurse to support Mercy Cardiology Clinic with patient-centered care. You will triage patients, prepare for exams, assist with phlebotomy and diagnostic procedures, document in the electronic health record, and provide patient education.

The role requires Iowa RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and mandatory reporter training. This is a part-time, on-site position offering hourly pay in a collaborative cardiac care team.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Iowa or compact state.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• Iowa Dependent Adult Abuse & Iowa Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter training.
• Education sufficient to obtain required licensure.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients, schedule visits, and coordinate provider intervention as needed.
• Greet, room, and prepare patients for exams; assist with phlebotomy and diagnostics.
• Document care in the EHR; provide patient education on diagnoses and procedures.
• Support clinic operations, include equipment maintenance and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with staff and physicians to ensure continuity of care.
