Job summary

Mercy Cardiology Clinic in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a part-time Clinic RN to support the Cardio Clinic. You will triage patients, assist with procedures, perform phlebotomy and EKGs, manage test result calls, and educate patients under provider direction.

Licensed RN in Iowa (or compact state) with BLS; ACLS within 6 months. 16 hours per week with day shifts. Proficiency in EHR documentation and safety protocols is essential.

Qualifications

• Education sufficient to obtain required licensure.
• Current RN license in Iowa or compact state is required.
• Current BLS certification is required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Triages patients in person or by phone and schedules appointments.
• Assists with phlebotomy, EKGs, vitals, and specimen collection per protocol.
• Manages calls about test results and directs patient education as needed.
• Documents care in the EHR accurately and timely.
• Maintains infection control and safety procedures in clinic environment.
• Supports care coordination and communication among providers and patients.
