MercyCare South Clinic in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to support physician and mid-level providers in patient care. Responsibilities include triage, rooming patients, taking vitals, venipuncture, phlebotomy, and documenting care in the EHR.

Sign-on bonus up to $2,500 is available. Ideal candidates hold an Iowa RN license with BLS certification, and have experience in a medical office setting.

Qualifications

• One year medical office experience preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Iowa required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Iowa Dependent Adult Abuse & Iowa Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter training required.
• Education sufficient to obtain required licensure.

Responsabilités

• Prepares instruments, supplies and protective devices for exam and testing prior to the visit.
• Rooms patient for examination and reviews histories, allergies, medications, reason for visit, and takes vitals.
• Administers injections and collects specimens per standing orders; performs phlebotomy.
• Provides patient instruction using approved education materials specific to the visit.
• Prints after-visit summary and discharges patient; schedules follow-up or referrals as directed.
• Handles phone calls regarding test/lab results and provides treatment instructions as directed.
• Processes medication requests/changes/refills per protocols; knowledge of medications and interactions.
• Assists with diagnostic procedures and treatments (EKG, Nebulizer) as directed.
• Maintains inventory and documents samples per policy.
• Follows safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions.
