Job summary

INTEGRIS Health Cardiovascular Physicians Cardiology Clinic in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a day shift, full-time Medical Assistant Float. You will provide direct patient care, take vitals, document history, assist with labs and imaging, and coordinate care under supervision.

Floats to clinics as needed, handles high phone volume, and participates in care planning. Strong communication, attention to detail, and a valid MA certification or 6 months clinic MA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification/registration or 6 months of clinic MA experience.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written).
• Must have a current Oklahoma State Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the company’s insurer.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and documents information about patient condition, including lab values, pain levels, education needs, nutritional status, and potential complications
• Contributes to the assessment/re-assessment of patients
• Monitors and documents patient status
• Participates in the development of the plan of care, including implementation and evaluation of patient care interventions (excluding narcotics)
• Manages large call volume while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette
• Organizes workflow to meet patient needs in a timely manner
• May retrieve and transport medications
• Floats to clinics that need support when conducting patient care
• Reports to assigned director, manager, supervisor or lead
