Job summary

INTEGRIS Health Cardiovascular Physicians Cardiology Outpatient Clinic in Edmond, OK is seeking a day shift, full-time Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care, including vitals, history, venipuncture, lab, and referrals. The role emphasizes documenting patient information, supporting care plans, managing calls, and maintaining efficient workflow while collaborating with the clinical team.

Must have MA certification/registration or 6 months clinic MA experience, CPR/BLS within 90 days,

Qualifications

• Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification/registration; OR 6 months of clinic MA experience.
• 6 months of customer service experience preferred
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of employment
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)

Responsibilities

• Gathers and documents information about patient condition, which includes lab values, pain levels, patient education needs, nutritional status and potential complications
• Contributes to the assessment/re-assessment of patients
• Monitors and documents patient status
• Participates in the development of the plan of care, including implementation and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions which may include medication administration (exclusive of narcotics)
• Manages large call volume while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette
• Organizes workflow to meet patient needs in a timely manner
• May retrieve and transport medications
• Reports to assigned director, manager, supervisor or lead.
