Job summary

INTEGRIS Health in Enid, OK is seeking a day shift Medical Assistant Float to support outpatient clinics across Enid, Woodward, and Ponca City. This role involves direct patient care and flexible clinic coverage as needed.

You will take vitals, collect histories, perform venipuncture, assist with lab work and imaging, and coordinate referrals under supervision. A current CMA certification and CPR/BLS are required or obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification/registration.
• 6 months of clinic MA experience preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written).

Responsibilities

• Take vitals, patient history, venipuncture, lab, and x-ray as directed by the provider.
• Document patient information including lab values, pain levels, and education needs.
• Support plan of care development and implementation with clinical staff.
• Manage high call volumes with professional telephone etiquette.
• Floats to multiple clinics to support patient care as needed.

Join our team as a day shift, full-time, Medical Assistant Float, at INTEGRIS HEALTH Medical Group Float Pool to support the Outpatient Clinics in Enid, OK. This position will be located in Enid, OK, but will travel to Woodward, Ok and Ponca City, Ok to care for patients.

Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant Float provides direct patient care by taking vitals, patient history, venipuncture, lab, x-ray, referrals, and patient phone messages as directed by the provider and/or clinical supervisor.

The Medical Assistant Float responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Gathers and documents information about patient condition, which include lab values, pain levels, patient education needs, nutritional status and potential complications
• Contributes to the assessment/re-assessment of patients
• Monitors and documents patient status
• Participates in the development of the plan of care, including implementation and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions which may include medication administration (exclusive of narcotics)
• Manages large call volume while maintaining excellent telephone etiquette
• Organizes workflow to meet patient needs in a timely manner
• May retrieve and transport medications
• Floats to clinics that need support when conducting patient care.
• Reports to assigned director, manager, supervisor or lead.

MA Float Qualifications:

• Current nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification/registration; OR 6 of months of clinic MA experience
• 6 months of customer service experience preferred
• CPR or BLS certification within 90 days of employment
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)
• This job requires the incumbents to operate an INTEGRIS-owned vehicle OR personal vehicle (non-INTEGRIS-owned) and therefore must have a current Oklahoma State Driver's License as well as a driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
