Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner leader in Cardiology to coordinate an advanced level of care for cardiology patients at Backus Hospital and in outpatient settings. The role oversees the APP team for the Norwich provider group, driving program development and quality improvements.

The position requires a Master’s degree in PA or APRN, CT APP license, and ACLS/BLS certification, with 5+ years of clinical experience and 3+ years in cardiology

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with leadership experience.
• Graduate from an approved PA or APRN program.
• CT Advanced Practice Provider license and DEA registration required.
• ACLS/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services as a cardiac PA/APRN.
• Supervise APP team including work assignments, schedules, and training.
• Monitor competency, documentation, and outcomes; set quality goals for the APP team.
• Lead program development and drive quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations for cardiology APPs.
• Coordinate inpatient and outpatient care in a collaborative setting.
