Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to lead the cardiology APP team at Backus Hospital and support the Norwich outpatient office setting in coordinating advanced cardiology care. This role focuses on program development and quality with supervision across inpatient and outpatient settings.

The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree, 5+ years of clinical work (3+ in cardiology), an active PA/APRN license, ACLS/BLS, and DEA registration.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in PA or APRN with leadership background.
• Graduate of an approved PA/APRN degree.
• 5+ years of clinical work; 3+ years in cardiology preferred.
• CT Advanced Practice Provider license, DEA; ACLS/BLS certs.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services as cardiac PA or APRN.
• Oversee APP team work assignments, schedules, training and evaluation.
• Monitor competency, documentation and outcomes of care by APP team.
• Lead quality improvement discussions and action plans for cardiology.
