Job summary

Amgen is seeking a District Sales Manager to lead and develop district teams across Alabama and surrounding regions. You will deliver clinical knowledge to medical professionals, drive sales targets, and collaborate with Marketing, Finance, and other units to execute strategies.

Qualifications

• 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources.
• 3+ years of specialty sales experience preferred.
• Experience in biologics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Track progress of marketing messages and programs.
• Provide feedback to district teams on marketing, allocation, monitoring, and resources.
• Manage district teams to maximize performance and meet sales and budget targets.
• Screen, interview, and hire candidates.
• Ensure training compliance and coach for development.
• Conduct performance reviews and competency assessments.
• Coordinate with district and cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Finance).
• Share best practices with direct reports and peers.
• Develop local Opinion Leader relationships to align objectives.
