Job summary

WakeMed Heart Center at Raleigh Main Campus seeks a Cardiac Sonographer to perform comprehensive echocardiographic studies and document diagnostic images in line with established guidelines. Qualifications

• Graduate of a cardiac ultrasound program or cardiovascular sonography program.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within established timeframe.
• Preferred: Minimum of one year of ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures in accordance with established guidelines, protocols, and departmental standards.
• Capture and document clear, comprehensive images of cardiovascular structures to support accurate diagnoses.
• Recognize normal and abnormal cardiac anatomy and physiology and communicate findings appropriately.
• Ensure ultrasound equipment is operated safely, effectively, and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate patient records and uphold quality and compliance standards.
• Partner with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical team members to support outstanding patient outcomes.
