WakeMed in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform comprehensive echocardiographic studies and document high‑quality diagnostic images. The role requires a graduate cardiac ultrasound credential or an associate degree in cardiovascular sonography, with a preferred 1 year ultrasound experience in a cardio setting.

What You'll Do

• Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures in accordance with established guidelines, protocols, and departmental standards.
• Capture and document clear, comprehensive images of cardiovascular structures to support accurate diagnoses.
• Recognize normal and abnormal cardiac anatomy and physiology and communicate findings appropriately.
• Ensure ultrasound equipment is operated safely, effectively, and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate patient records and uphold quality and compliance standards.
• Partner with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical team members to support outstanding patient outcomes.

Who We Are Looking For

• A compassionate and detail-oriented Cardiac Sonographer committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences.
• Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Preferred: Minimum of one year of ultrasound experience, ideally within a cardiovascular or specialty practice setting.
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team-based environment.
• Excellent communication skills with a patient-centered approach to care.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within established timeframe.
