Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 12-week temporary assignment in the Cardiac Telemetry department. The role runs on 12-hour nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with compensation set at $60.00 per hour.

The RN will deliver direct patient care using the nursing process, provide patient and family teaching, and coordinate with physicians regarding changes in clinical status and diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• RN-BC or similar certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct patient/family teaching and supervision of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and/or response to treatment.
