Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Cardiac Medical Telemetry unit at Glenbrook Hospital. This full-time role (day shift with rotating weekends) involves direct patient care under RN/LPN supervision and requires strong patient interaction and teamwork.

The PCT will perform ADL support, vital signs, and assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort for patients on the unit.

Qualifications

• CNA training or certification preferred.
• Completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation preferred.
• Current BLS healthcare provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors, respond to call lights, and assist with hourly rounding.
• Assist in safe patient handling and mobility under RN/LPN supervision.
• Provide basic nursing care for ADLs (bathing, grooming, feeding) under supervision.
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers; orient patients to rooms.
• Perform vital signs, ECGs, wound care, urine tests and other routine procedures as directed.
• Support department tasks such as restocking, transporting supplies, and handling equipment.
