Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Nursing Director to lead administrative and operational duties for assigned departments, focusing on cost control, HR, operations, quality of care, and clinical outcomes.

The role participates in Shared Governance, mentors future nursing leaders, and promotes patient- and family-centered services across the care continuum, with staffing support for adolescent through geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital (inpatient) or clinical (outpatient) setting, including at least 1 year of leadership experience.
• Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area applying for.
• RN Georgia licensure and/or multistate licensure upon hire.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire.

Responsibilities

• Administrative and operational responsibility for assigned departments.
• Management of cost and finance, human resources, operations, quality of care and clinical outcomes.
• Patient/physician and staff satisfaction; change management; value-driven outcomes.
• Succession planning and talent development to grow future nursing leaders.
• May assist in staffing to provide clinical care for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
