Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a nursing leader to assume administrative and operational responsibility for designated departments, focusing on cost management, human resources, operations, and clinical outcomes. The role serves on the entity management team within the Shared Governance Model to promote a patient-family centered care approach and value-driven outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required)
• Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
• 3 years of nursing experience in hospital or clinical settings with at least 1 year of leadership experience (Required)
• Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area applying for (Required)

Responsibilities

• Administrative and operational responsibility for assigned departments, including cost/finance, HR, operations, quality of care and clinical outcomes.
• Manage patient/physician and staff satisfaction; engage in change management and Shared Governance.
• Support succession planning, identify talent, provide education/resources to grow future nursing leaders; assist in staffing for clinical care as needed.

Serves as part of the entity management team and Shared Governance Model focused on promoting the mission, vision and values, of PHC and Nursing Professional Practice, embracing a person-centered philosophy while promoting patient-family centered services across the continuum and enhancing value-driven outcomes. Responsible for succession planning, identifying talent, providing support, education, and resources to grow future nursing leaders. May be required to assist in staffing as necessary to provide clinical care for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
