Job summary

Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA, is seeking a Physician Assistant for the Cardiac Surgery Service. The PA will work 13-hour night shifts in the cardiac surgery ICU and step-down units, with a 24/7 service rotation that includes weekends and holidays, three shifts per week.

The base annual salary starts at $143,874 with a night-shift bonus of $20,000 for qualifying nocturnists, paid in two lump sums after meeting hours requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• 2+ years of PA experience preferred (will consider outstanding new grads).
• Strong knowledge of cardiothoracic care and clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Orders, interprets, and evaluates lab and diagnostic tests.
• Develops plans of care and follow-up based on diagnostics and exams.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions per policies.
• Maintains thorough, timely documentation (admissions, progress notes, operative notes, discharge summaries).
