Job summary

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge and skills in cardiac patient population.
• Experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Cardiac Surgery preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of clinical surgical practices for cardiothoracic patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care, counseling, and teaching to cardiac surgery patients.
• Assist surgeons in the operating room performing clinical procedures.
• Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.

Skills

Advanced knowledge of reading ECG, Radiology, and Laboratory data

Ability to function in a high intensity, complex unit

Strong communication skills

Education

Master’s Degree in NP or PA practice
