Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant for inpatient rotations and a 24/7 PA-run service. You will work 13-hour days, rotating through cardiac surgery ICU and step-down units with cardiac surgeons and ICU staff.

The role requires nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule. The base salary for this inpatient cardiac surgery PA is $143,874 annually, with a comprehensive benefits package and professional growth opportunities within Mass General

Qualifications

• Master's Degree Physician Assistant required.
• State license as Physician Assistant required.
• 2+ years of PA experience preferred; exceptional graduates considered.
• Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.

Responsabilités

• Assess and manage medical and surgical patients in inpatient and ICU settings.
• Provide direct care, counseling, and teaching to patients.
• Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate labs and diagnostics.
• Develop and follow plans of care with appropriate follow-up.
• Order medications and write prescriptions per policies.
• Document thoroughly including admissions, progress, operative and discharge notes.
• Perform bedside procedures as appropriate.
