Job summary

The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is hiring a Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant for inpatient coverage. You will join a 24/7 PA-run service, rotating 13-hour shifts, days and nights, with Cardiac Surgeons and ICU staff at 75 Francis Street.

Starting base salary is $143,874 per year. The PA will perform exams, orders, and treatments, and provide direct patient care across inpatient and operative settings, with emphasis on cardiothoracic patients.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of clinical surgical practices for cardiothoracic patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient populations in inpatient, ambulatory, and operative settings.
• Perform histories and physical examinations; order and interpret tests.
• Develop care plans and follow-up; write orders and prescriptions.
• Document admissions, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Perform bedside procedures as appropriate for cardiac patients.
