Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (with RNFA) to join the Cardiac Surgery, OR team. The role involves high-acuity care in a fast-paced setting with rotating weekends and no nights, while covering occasional overnight calls.

Required: master's degree, acute care certification and RNFA for APRNs, current RN and APRN licenses in Illinois, and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation certification. Cardiac surgery experience is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in nursing or physician assistant program is required.
• Acute care certification AND RNFA are required for APRNs.
• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license and APRN license plus national certification.
• Privileged and credentialed through the Medical Staff Office.
• Cardiac Surgery experience preferred and credentialed.

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and perform exams in the cardiac surgery area.
• Provide direct clinical care and prescribe medications as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff; educate patients and families.
• Maintain certifications, participate in quality improvement or research.
