Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing school or PA program.
• Acute care certification required for APRNs.
• First Assist Certification for all APRNs.
• Current Illinois RN license and APRN license with NM MSO privileges.
• Controlled substance license and DEA number eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care for post-operative cardiac surgery patients with daily rounds and care coordination.
• Perform clinical assessments, develop treatment plans and coordinate care on the step-down unit.
• Consult with physicians and staff, participate in teaching and quality initiatives.
• Maintain licensure, credentials, and participate in ongoing education.
