Mass General Brigham in Boston, MA is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Cardiac Surgery Step Down Unit on-site. The full-time role includes 40 hours weekly, with 3-13 hour shifts on day/night rotation and weekends/holidays as needed.

Under supervision of Cardiac Surgeons and Heart Center Intensivists, you will perform rounds, bedside procedures, orders, patient education, and discharge planning, while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing or PA required.
• Cardiac surgery NP/PA experience preferred.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities required.

Responsabilités

• Provides direct care, counseling, and education to cardiac surgery patients.
• Assists surgeons in the operating room and during procedures.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates labs and diagnostic tests.
• Develops care plans and coordinates tests and consultations.
• Documents admissions, progress notes, procedures, and discharge summaries.
