Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Cardiac Surgery department seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to deliver direct patient care in the Cardiac Surgery Step Down Unit at 90 Blossom Street, Boston. You will work under surgeons and intensivists with a multidisciplinary team to manage perioperative care.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies, MA licenses, and is experienced in cardiac surgery.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing or PA required.
• Experience in cardiac surgery preferred.
• Strong knowledge of reading ECG, radiology, and lab data beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care, counseling, and teaching to cardiac surgery patients.
• Assist surgeons in the operating room and perform clinical procedures as needed.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develop care plans and follow-up based on diagnostic findings.
• Order medications and document care consistently.
