Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with 3+ years of experience in cardiac surgery, cardiology, or critical care to join our inpatient cardiac surgery team on the Cardiac Surgery Step-Down floor at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.

You will perform daily rounds, patient evaluation, care coordination, and discharge planning while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in cardiac surgery, cardiology, or critical care.
• Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner eligible/licensed.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounding on the Cardiac Surgery Step-Down floor.
• Patient evaluation, care coordination, and discharge planning.
• Serve as liaison between the care team and patient/families; provide education.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes and workflow.
