Job summary

UAB Medicine, a leading health system in Alabama, invites nurses to join 7 North Cardiology Stepdown and Intermediate Care Unit at UAB St. Vincents East. You will provide direct nursing care on a specialized 23-bed unit caring for post-procedural cardiac patients with telemetry monitoring and complex medication management.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire is required.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed by Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire date is required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing and professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with policies, procedures and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor and communicate patient condition.
• Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
