Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a dedicated RN for the 7 North Cardiology Stepdown and Intermediate Care Unit. This night shift role (7:00 PM–7:00 AM, Sat/Sun nights) is based at UAB St. Vincent's East and focuses on patients recovering from complex cardiac procedures with close telemetry and nursing care.

The ideal candidate will hold an Alabama nursing license, BLS, ACLS, and a diploma in nursing. Strong assessment, coordination, and discharge planning skills are required.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
• Licensed RN credentialed with Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per policies and protocols.
• Implement and monitor care plans; document patient status.
• Coordinate with disciplines for well-coordinated care.
• Assess discharge planning needs with the care team.
