Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the 7 North Cardiology Stepdown and Intermediate Care Unit on nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), weekends rot. Based at UAB St. Vincent's East.

The role provides direct nursing care per policies, coordinates multidisciplinary care, and supports discharge planning. Must have an Alabama RN license and BLS; ACLS encouraged. Join a Magnet-designated system delivering high-quality cardiac care.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed by the Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per established policies and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
