Job summary

Mercy Health – The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver exceptional nursing care. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess patient status, develop care plans, and ensure safety in a high-acuity unit.

The role emphasizes strong organizational leadership, care coordination, and adherence to professional standards. RN licensure and BLS/ACLS requirements apply, with ACLS due within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred but not required.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS/BCLS or ACLS required as noted; ACLS to be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment; develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care.
• Serve as the point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments.
• Act as a patient safety advocate by participating in continuous quality improvement.
• Administer medications safely in line with state practice and hospital policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
