Job summary

Northside Hospital, Inc. is seeking an experienced echocardiography technologist to perform 2-D, M-mode, color flow Doppler and cardiac echo studies for adult and geriatric patients. The role requires maintaining performance improvement documentation in accordance with IAC standards.

The position includes a weekend night shift (Sat and Sun, 11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.) on a clinical team dedicated to comprehensive cardiac imaging services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.
• RDCS/ARDMS or equivalent certification required; CI-recognized credentials preferred.
• Current BLS certification and active professional society membership.
• In-depth knowledge of adult echocardiography protocols and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography on adults and geriatrics.
• Maintain performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound per IAC.

RDCS/ARDMS credential (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer)

RCS or RCCS (CCI)

CRCS, Sonography Canada

ACS (Advanced Cardiac Sonographer, CCI)

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on the adult and geriatric patient population. Responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.

Shift: Saturday & Sunday 11p-7:30a

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• An appropriate credential in echocardiography:
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
  • Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
• Membership in professional society or societies related to the field of sonography.
• Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.
