Job summary

Northside Hospital, Inc. seeks a skilled echocardiography technician to perform 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping, cardiac Doppler tests on adults and geriatric patients. You will maintain documentation in line with IAC standards.

REQUIRED credentials include RDCS or RCS/RCCS or CRCS, ACS, and BLS. Preferred candidates hold vascular credentials and professional society memberships.

Work hours vary with weekend rotation and on-call requirements, and the role is based onsite in the Atlanta area.

Qualifications

• RDCS, RCS/RCCS, CRCS or ACS credential required.
• RVT or RVS or RS vascular credential preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Membership in professional societies preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography or cardiovascular technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping, cardiac Doppler tests on adults/geriatric patients.
• Maintains performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound per IAC.
• Supports on-site echocardiography and vascular exams.

Responsibilities

Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping, cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests and vascular exams on the adult and geriatric patient population. Responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• An appropriate credential in echocardiography:
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
• Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Additional credential in one of the following:
• Registered Vascular Technologist RVT (ARDMS)
• Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through (CCI)
• Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography (RS) through ARRT
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support.

PREFERRED

• Membership in professional society or societies related to the field of sonography.
• Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.
