Job summary

Northside Hospital, award-winning and state-of-the-art, is expanding care in Atlanta and beyond. This role performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on adults and geriatrics, while maintaining performance improvement documentation per IAC.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 11p–7:30a. Ideal candidates hold RDCS/ RCS/ RCCS/ ACS credentials and AHA BLS certification, with a credentialed program background and active professional involvement.

Qualifications

• Must hold RDCS, RCS, RCCS, CRCS or ACS credentials.
• Must have American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on adult and geriatric patients.
• Maintain performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.

REQUIRED

1. An appropriate credential in echocardiography:

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
• Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

1. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification

PREFERRED

1. Membership in professional society or societies related to the field of sonography.
2. Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.
