Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Cardiac Sonographer to perform 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and Doppler echocardiography for adult and geriatric patients.

The position requires maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC, with at least one call shift per month and holiday coverage. Strong credentials and BLS are required, with preferred professional society membership.

Qualifications

• RDCS/ARDMS or equivalent echocardiography credential.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Graduate of an accredited sonography program preferred.

Minimum of 1 call shift per month and holiday requirements

Qualifications

• An appropriate credential in echocardiography:
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
• Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification

PREFERRED

• Membership in professional society or societies related to the field of sonography.
• Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.
