Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking an experienced echocardiography professional to join our cardiovascular imaging team. You will perform 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and Doppler studies on adult and geriatric patients, ensuring high-quality exams and accurate documentation.

The position requires ARDMS/RDCS or equivalent credentials and BLS certification, with a weekend shift (Saturday and Sunday 11p-7:30a) that supports patient care across our hospital network.

Qualifications

• Must hold an appropriate credential in echocardiography.

Responsibilities

• Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on adult and geriatric patients.
• Maintains performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.

Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on the adult and geriatric patient population. Responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.

Shift: Saturday & Sunday 11p-7:30a

REQUIRED

1. An appropriate credential in echocardiography:

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
• Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

1. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification

PREFERRED

1. Membership in professional society or societies related to the field of sonography.
2. Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.
