Northside Hospital is seeking a cardiac imaging professional to perform comprehensive echocardiography studies including 2-D, M-mode, color Doppler, and Doppler techniques for adult and geriatric patients. The role emphasizes adherence to IAC standards and continuous performance improvement documentation.

Qualifications

• RDCS from ARDMS or equivalent certification; RCS/RCCS/CRCS or ACS credentials accepted.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Membership in professional sonography societies and graduation from accredited sonography/cardiovascular technology programs are preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on adult and geriatric patients.

Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on the adult and geriatric patient population. Responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.

REQUIRED

1. An appropriate credential in echocardiography:

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
• Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

1. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification

PREFERRED

1. Membership in professional society or societies related to the field of sonography.
2. Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.
