Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Greenville, SC is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer Registered for Upstate Cardiology. You will perform diagnostic echocardiography, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and cardiac stress testing, and support patient care before and during procedures.

Strong credentials (RDCS or RCS) and BLS, with EPIC EHR and PACS experience preferred. This role requires on-call hours and offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in an applied health science field with a concentration in cardiovascular technology, ultrasonography or related study.
• BLS certification – American Heart Association is required.
• Credentialed in echocardiography by RDCS or RCS.
• EPIC EHR and PACS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic echocardiography examinations using ultrasound testing equipment to evaluate the heart during Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, and Cardiac Stress testing examinations.
• Demonstrates ability to proficiently perform non-invasive and invasive cardiac exams.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac anatomy, exam procedures, and interpretation of results.
• Prepares and monitors patients before and during procedures.
• Utilizes the hospital electronic medical record to review patient information and document findings.
• On call hours required.
