Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is seeking a skilled Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist to perform comprehensive echocardiography and train staff. This position emphasizes diagnostic imaging, clinical mentorship, and adherence to credentialing standards, with a 40-hour workweek and day shift.

Ideal candidates hold RDCS/ACS/RCS credentials with 1 year of relevant experience and possess CRT-BLS certification. Join a major teaching hospital recognized for quality care in Southeast Michigan.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
• CRT-BLS certification required (AHA or ARC) at hire.
• ARDMS certification groups for various ultrasound modalities (Cardiac excluded where noted).
• 1 year experience for RDCS/Cardiac, RCS, VT required within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations including 2D, spectral and color Doppler, and m-mode.
• Supervise or mentor other ultrasonographers or students as needed.
• Provide clinical application guidance and interpret cardiac pathology related to ultrasound.

Scope to Work

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations consisting of: Two-dimensional imaging, spectral and color flow Doppler, m-mode; trans esophageal; exercise and pharmacologic echocardiograms; saline and left ventricular opacification studies on adult patients.
• Instruction of medical personnel in technical performance, clinical application, and cardiac pathology as it pertains to cardiac ultrasound.
• May act as a mentor/preceptor for other Ultrasonographers and/or students.
• This is a Cardiac Ultrasound position; only RDCS, ACS, or RCS credentials are required.

• Required CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association, Upon Hire required
