Job summary

Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital seeks a Diagnostic Ultrasound technologist to perform accurate and efficient ultrasound exams using appropriate imaging equipment. The role requires independent judgment and delivering high-quality images for interpretation.

Under site leadership, you will demonstrate strong clinical skills and adhere to patient- and family-centered care principles, ensuring compassionate care and collaborative teamwork within the ultrasound department.

Qualifications

• Required associate's degree or equivalent.
• ARDMS certifications in multiple sonography modalities are required.
• BLS certification required at hire, by either AHA or ARC.

Responsibilities

• Under site designate leader, perform accurate ultrasound exams using appropriate imaging equipment.
• Demonstrate good clinical skills and provide high-quality images for interpretation.
• Follow Patient and Family Centered Care philosophy at all times.

Scope to Work

Under site designate leader, and according to established policies and procedures performs accurate and efficient Ultrasound exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation. Follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

Qualifications

• Required associate's degree or equivalent Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
• Minimal as gained at student level. Required
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
• CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDE Cardiac 1 Year required
• CRT-Breast Sonographer (BS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac, General, Vascular 1 Year required
• CRT-Abdomen (AB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac EXCLUDES Vascular 1 Year required Or
