Job summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital in Covington, GA is hiring a Diagnostic Medical Sonography professional to operate ultrasound equipment and perform clinical exams. You will provide patient services, apply knowledge of anatomy, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging.

Required is graduation from an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program and at least 1 year of related hospital or ambulatory experience, plus BCLS and credentialing options (RCS/ARDCS/CCI).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program is required.
• 1 year of related experience in a hospital inpatient or outpatient/ambulatory setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures per standards.
• Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
• Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Responsibilities

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Work Experience

• 1 year of related experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient / ambulatory cardiac sonographer Required
