Job summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital in Covington, GA, seeks an experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound exams and invasive procedures. The role supports clinical diagnostics across age groups with emphasis on patient care and safety.

You will deliver patient care from neonatal to geriatric populations, operate ultrasound equipment, and collaborate with radiologists and staff to ensure quality results. A AMA-approved program and relevant credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
• 1 year of related experience as a hospital inpatient or outpatient / ambulatory cardiac sonographer.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support, RCS - Registered Cardiac Sonographer, ARDCS - Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, CCI - Cardiovascular Credentialing International requirements or credentials.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures.
• Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
• Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

The hours are every other Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday, 12 hour shifts either 6a-6p or 7a-7p, and EVERY Wednesday 12 hr shifts

Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.
