Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver safe, patient-centered care within a collaborative team.

The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, educate patients and families, and participate in professional development while upholding the ANA Code for Nurses and hospital standards. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in good standing to practice in Iowa.
• BLS certification (or obtained within 3 months of hire).
• ACLS or Core certification (or obtained within 3 months).
• Fluent English and effective communication.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Assumes primary responsibility for the plan of care for a patient or group of patients, per unit standards.
• Administers medications and nursing treatments within scope of practice.
• Performs admission assessment and coordinates with the care team.
• Educates patients and families as part of the care plan.
• Leads orientation and supports professional development of associates.
