Job summary

Responsibilities include constant observation of monitors and responding to life-threatening rhythms, with a focus on patient safety and collaboration across the health system. On-site hours in a major California health system.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and English; basic computer/telephone skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of a Cardiac Monitor Technician program for unlicensed providers.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to maintain a workload and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Identify and communicate cardiac rhythm irregularities to other team members.
• Provide coverage and observation of cardiac monitors.
• Communicate changes in rhythm and recognition of life-threatening dysrhythmia.
