Job summary

UCI Health in Orange, CA is seeking a Cardiac Monitor Technician to provide continuous observation of patients' cardiac rhythms and identify basic arrhythmias. You will promptly communicate changes to the RN or physician and document rhythm strips according to unit standards.

This role also involves monitoring patients during special procedures, troubleshooting alarms, and supporting a high‑quality patient care team.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience monitoring cardiac activity.
• ECG Certification required by time of hire.
• Availability to work weekends and rotating shifts, including evenings, nights and holidays.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous observation of patients' cardiac rhythms.
• Identify basic arrhythmias and notify RN/Physician of changes.
• Troubleshoot alarms and system issues.
• Document values and mount rhythm strips per unit standards.
• Monitor patients during special procedures.
