Job summary

Successful candidates will have completion of a Cardiac Monitor Technician program, BLS certification, and strong English communication skills; hospital experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of basic medical terminology and English.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Completion of a Cardiac Monitor Technician program designed for unlicensed health care providers.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Must demonstrate customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Responsibilities

• Identify and communicate cardiac rhythm irregularities to team members.
• Provide coverage and observation of cardiac monitors.
• Communicate changes in rhythm and recognition of life-threatening dysrhythmia.
