HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is hiring a Cardiac Rehab Therapist to provide expert clinical exercise Physiologist services in inpatient and outpatient settings. You will assess, evaluate, and prescribe safe exercise programs for patients recovering from heart events or cardiac disease, with a focus on heart-rate guided activities and risk-factor modification.

The role requires ACLS and BCLS within 30 days, a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field, and at least 1 year

Qualifications

• ACLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• BCLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a cardiac rehab setting.

Responsabilités

• Monitor hemodynamic responses during exercise.
• Develop suitable exercises at an appropriate heart rate range.
• Teach patient independent exercise habits.
• Provide information on cardiac risk factor modification and positive lifestyle change.
• Exhibit basic knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias.
• Exhibit professional and ethical conduct at all times.
• Be courteous with patients, co-workers, family members, physicians, and the general public.
• Handle confidential information regarding patient records.
• Pass competency checklists for all responsibilities outlined by the departmental/program policy.
• Participate and promote positive team interactions to ensure patient care and interdisciplinary collaborations.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The clinical Exercise Physiologist is responsible for professional care and related assistance to patients in all phases of Cardiac Rehabilitation. The Exercise Physiologist will provide direct and indirect patient care in both inpatient and outpatient setting. The Exercise Physiologist will assess, evaluate and prescribe safe and effective exercise for patients recovering from a heart attack, heart surgery, or have been diagnose with cardiac disease.

• Teach patient independent exercise habits
• Provide information on cardiac risk factor modification and positive lifestyle change
• Exhibits basic knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias

• Appropriately handles confidential information regarding patient records
• Must pass competency checklists for all responsibilities outlined by the departmental/program policy
• Will participate and promote positive team interactions to ensure patient care and interdisciplinary collaborations

What qualifications you will need

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Bachelors Degreein Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or related field
• A minimum of 1 year experience in a cardiac rehab setting is required
