Job summary

Tenet Healthcare Hospital is seeking an Exercise Physiologist to evaluate cardiac patients, plan and implement a cardiac rehabilitation program, and complete required competencies within the introductory period. Additional related duties may be assigned to support patient care.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, with 1–2 years of cardiovascular exercise prescription experience and active BLS; ACLS within 60 days is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology or related field from an accredited college or university.
• 1–2 years preferred experience with exercise prescription in a clinical setting.
• Active healthcare provider BLS on hire (ARC or AHA) with BLS within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate cardiac patients and plan/implement a cardiac rehabilitation program.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology or related field from an accredited college or university

Preferred Education:

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 12 week internship in cardiac rehabilitation

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years experience with exercise prescription in a clinical setting

Required Certifications/Licensure:

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: American College of Sports Medicine – Clinical Exercise Physiologist

REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):

• Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
