Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology required.
• Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology preferred.
• ACSM-CEP preferred/required for stress testing.
• BLS HCP from AHA required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and performs exercise testing following ACSM/AHA/ACC guidelines.
• Assess patient for contraindications to stress testing and coordinate care with cardiologist.
• Explain procedure, verify order, and confirm patient identity.
• Assist with transferring patients and ensure safety during testing.
• Recognize ECG changes and arrhythmias during testing and post-test.
• Communicate abnormal results to physician and nursing staff.
• Respond to emergencies promptly and professionally.
• Cross-train with related staff as needed.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology

Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology (preferred)

ACSM-CEP (Clinical Exercise Physiologist)

BLS Healthcare Provider

ACLS within 6 months of hire

1 year related experience
