Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Clinical Exercise Physiologist to join a multidisciplinary cardiac rehabilitation team. You will assess patients, monitor exercise sessions, develop and modify treatment plans, and provide education to support behavior change.

The role includes managing a patient caseload, documenting progress, coordinating care, and collaborating with referring providers. ACLS is preferred; BLS is required; certification within 3 years if needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field required.
• Master's degree in Exercise Physiology preferred.
• Certification through ACSM or AACVPR required within 3 years if no Master's.
• Current BLS certification. ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients: biometric data, EKG, history review, meds reconciliation.
• Conduct submaximal and tolerance testing; evaluate strength and flexibility.
• Develop and modify treatment plans; lead exercise sessions.
• Educate patients and support behavior change strategies; set goals.
• Document clinical status and progress; report to providers and director.
• Maintain safe environment and participate in infection control.
