Job summary

Commonspirit-Health is hiring a Registered Nurse in Colorado Springs to collaborate with the healthcare team and support patients and families across physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions. Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (or by endorsement) required.
• RN license in the state of employment.
• Physical requirements: Medium work, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, up to 20 lbs frequently, up to 10 lbs constantly.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs; evaluate and intervene to ensure optimal outcome.
• Develop and implement patient care plans and observe outcomes with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Maintain patient charts and records; document status, interventions, and outcomes; use IT to communicate and support decision-making.
• Promote and advocate for patient health and safety, safeguarding rights.
• Provide patient/family education by assessing learning readiness and delivering effective teaching.
