Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement.
• RN license in state of employment.
• Physical requirements: Medium work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs and intervene to ensure optimal outcome.
• Develop and implement patient plans of care and observe outcomes with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in interventions including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
• Maintain patient charts and records; document status, interventions, and outcomes; use IT to communicate and support decision-making.
• Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect patient health, safety, and rights.
• Provide patient/family education by assessing readiness and delivering teaching and evaluating its effectiveness.
